A young boy witnesses his parents murdered by a psycho dressed as Santa. Out of the orphanage he gets a job at a toy factory, but cracks after he has to be a department store Santa. This notorious slasher movie caused quite a fuss when it was first released, but is more stupid than offensive or gory. Watching SILENT all these years later is probably more enjoyable than paying to see it in a first run theatre, coming off as a dated slice of 80`s horror with enjoyable death scenes (topless Linnea Quigley impaled on antlers, overaged sledgers being beheaded etc.) best viewed drunk.
