ROBOT MONSTER (monsters from the moon) (1953 U.S.) D/P: PHIL TUCKER W: WYATT ORDUNG
This infamous b/w "bad" movie classic is fascinating. An alien called Ro-Man (George Barrows in a big gorilla suit, wearing a diving helmet with an antennae on top) hangs out in a cave in Bronson Canyon with his bubble-making machine on a wooden table. He takes orders from another Ro-man on a viewscreen while trying to locate and destroy the only remaining family on Earth with a death ray. Scenes are repeated, the camera is knocked out of place and plenty of utterly confusing things happen in this brain-frying sci-fi oddity. Elmer Bernstein (!) provided the music, and it`s in (prettty bad) 3D. With John Mylong and dinosaur stock footage from ONE MILLION B.C. and THE LOST WORLD. Don`t miss it!
