JUST FOR THE HELL OF IT (1968 U.S.) D/P: HERSCHELL GORDON LEWIS W: LOUISE DOWNE
Teenagers (including Ray Sager) get up to increasingly more violent anti-social behaviour like stealing a blind man's cane, putting a woman's baby in the bin and trashing everything in sight. Eventualy murder results. Not one of H.G.'s most entertaining, but interesting for fans of the maestro to see his take on juvenile delinquency. The final title card reads "The end of the story- but not of the violence". Lewis and his son Robert wrote the theme tune Destruction Inc., and look for the band that have a pre-punk freak-out jam in a club.
