INVISIBLE GHOST (1941 U.S.) D: JOSEPH H. LEWIS W: HELEN and AL MARTIN P: SAM KATZMAN
Bela Lugosi strangles people at his house in the night without knowing it. His runaway wife (Polly Ann Young in her last role) is the cause in this pretty senseless b/w poverty row chiller that works as a curio vintage time-waster. Director Lewis later made more interesting features like GUN CRAZY and THE BIG COMBO. With Clarence Muse, Betty Compson, George Pembroke, Ernie Adams, Ottola Nesmith, Jack Mulhall and Fred Kelsey. It was the first of 9 Lugosi vehicles pumped-out for Katzman`s Monogram in a few years. The others were SPOOKS RUN WILD, BLACK DRAGONS, THE CORPSE VANISHES, BOWERY AT MIDNIGHT, THE APE MAN, GHOSTS ON THE LOOSE, VOODOO MAN and RETURN OF THE APE MAN.
