FROGS (1972 U.S.) D: GEORGE McCOWAN W: ROBERT HUTCHISON/ROBERT BLEES P: GEORGE EDWARDS/PETER THOMAS
Sam Elliott is an ecologically aware photographer on wheelchair-bound Ray Milland`s island estate during his family`s Fourth of July celebrations. One of those tease features that consists mostly of dull character development and slowly building "suspense". Endless reminder shots of frogs (and lizards, tarantulas, crocs, snakes etc...) keep us glued to see the result of all this pesticide-driven animal unrest. But the ad implied giant frogs never materialise. Boring anti-climatic stuff. With Adam Roarke.
