FRANKENHOOKER (1990 U.S.) D/W: FRANK HENENLOTTER W: ROBERT MARTIN P: EDGAR LIVENS
Henenlotter made this back-to-back with BASKET CASE 2. Both are very good, but this is up there with BRAIN DAMAGE as one of his best. James Lorinz (from STREET TRASH) stars as the young genius inventor who`s remote-controlled lawnmower accidentaly kills his girlfriend (Penthous Pet Patty Mullen). He keeps the head and develops a supercrack that some whores he`s checking for "good parts" smoke. They all explode in a memorable scene. Lorinz pieces Mullen back together, but she has a confused hooker`s memory and starts pulling clients who also explode. Lorinz is great (as usual) and reads a funny poem, there`s some imaginative BASKET CASE-style mutated body parts and a great ending. With Louise Lasser, Shirley Stoler, Zacherle, Heather Hunter, Charlotte Helmkamp and Henenlotter. Martin was the original Fangoria editor. James Glickenhaus was the executive producer.
