FINAL DESTINATION (2000 U.S.) D/W: JAMES WONG W/P: GLEN MORGAN W: JEFFREY REDDICK P: WARREN ZIDE/CRAIG PERRY
Devon Sawa is a New York teen about to fly to Paris with fellow students and teachers. Prior to take-off he experiences a vision of the plane exploding and gets off (along with a few others) and his prophecy comes true. The survivors later start dying mysterious deaths, and Sawa must try and figure out Death`s design to try and stay alive. Tony Todd`s campy cameo as a mortician was an element that most people thought should have been cut out, but it`s a fine example of how to accept this film. It`s just a fun rollercoaster ride and audience-pleaser that happens to have an unusual and interesting plot that seems to lead many people into taking it too seriously, and if you approach it intellectually, then it disappoints. The ending is a hoot (the original ending was cut out). With Ali Larter, Seann William Scott, Kerr Smith, Kristen Cloke, Daniel Roebuck, Brendan Fehr and Robert Wisden. Sequels followed.
