THE EVIL OF FRANKENSTEIN (1964 U.K.) D: FREDDIE FRANCIS W/P: "JOHN ELDER" (ANTHONY HINDS)
In the third entry in Hammer's Frankenstein series, the Baron (Peter Cushing) is forced to flee from yet another village where his experiments are considered diabolical. He (along with a young assistant) return to a town where he had been run out from before and discover a previous creation perfectly preserved in a glacier. When thawed, things go terribly wrong after a travelling hypnotist gains control of the creature and commands it to exact his revenge. No great shakes, but a solid series entry that's more than watchable and moves along at an engaging pace. With Timothy Bateson and (in extra scenes shot for the U.S. release only) Steven Geray. The series took a turn for the bizarre with FRANKENSTEIN CREATED WOMAN next.
