DAY OF THE DEAD (1985 U.S.) D/W: GEORGE A. ROMERO P: RICHARD P. RUBINSTEIN
I know i'm in the minority here, but i much prefer Romero's third claustrophobic DEAD film to the previous DAWN OF THE DEAD. But this is kind of irrelevent as you should make the whole series a must-see anyhow. Zombies have pretty much taken over the world, and characters in an underground missile silo keep some like cattle to try and study their habits. There's more talk than the first two entries, but it still delivers with the shocks and gore. With John Amplas (MARTIN) and Donald Farmer. You can spot Romero as a zombie with a scarf. It was years before LAND OF THE DEAD (which i don`t count as a continuation of the series). This was also remade after the success of the DAWN OF THE DEAD remake.
